DMCA Policy

Gamesula is a game directory featuring curated listings with game descriptions, reviews, screenshots, and direct links to official app stores. Our aim is to help players discover great games. We respect copyright and comply with U.S. DMCA principles. We also adhere to EU law (e.g. the EU E‑Commerce Directive’s safe-harbour provisions). In practice, this means we act promptly on valid takedown notices from copyright owners or their agents.

  • No Hosting of Files: We DO NOT host any app installation files or downloads. We only provide links to official app stores (e.g. Google Play, Apple App Store) or the developer’s official website.
  • Fair Use for Promotion: We use game assets (such as screenshots, logos, and trailers) strictly for the purpose of review, commentary, and identification. We believe this constitutes “Fair Use” under U.S. copyright law and serves as legitimate promotional activity under EU directives.

Notification of Copyright Infringement

If you believe that material available on Gamesula infringes on your copyright, please notify us immediately. We respond to notices of alleged infringement that comply with applicable intellectual property laws.

1. Jurisdiction

Gamesula operates out of The Netherlands. We adhere to the EU E-Commerce Directive and Digital Services Act (DSA) regarding “Notice and Action” procedures. Additionally, as we serve a global audience and link to US-based app stores, we voluntarily comply with the U.S. DMCA safe harbor provisions.

2. User-Generated Content (Safe Harbor)

Gamesula may allow users to post ratings, reviews, and comments. We act as a “hosting service provider” for this content.

We do not actively monitor all user comments in real-time. We are not liable for infringing content posted by users provided that we act expeditiously to remove such content upon obtaining actual knowledge of its existence.

3. How to File a Takedown Request

To ensure the fastest processing time, we accept takedown notices via email. Please send a notification to dmca[at]gamesula.com with the following information:

  1. Identification of the Work: A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  2. Exact Location: The specific URL(s) on Gamesula where the material is located. (General descriptions like “my game” are not sufficient; we need the link).
  3. Your Authority: A statement that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
  4. Good Faith Statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. Contact Info: Your address, telephone number, and email address so we may contact you regarding your notice
