In Sonic Forces you are competing in an online race against 3 other players. All players run around the track in breakneck speeds with the goal of being the first one at the finish. Avoid obstacles and deploy power-ups to outsmart your opponents. With each run you collect rewards (points, rings and orbs) that can be used to deploy power-ups, unlock new characters.
You start with Sonic and classic Sonic unlocked. As the game progress you can unlock more characters and fully customize the outfit of your chosen character. Each character has its own special abilities.
